As wax melt addicts ourselves, we kept ordering products online and being let down. Inconsistent scents, poor quality wax, melts that barely lasted a single burn. We knew what a truly great wax melt should smell like and how long it should last. We just couldn't find anyone delivering that consistently.

So we decided to create it ourselves.

What followed was a long and costly period of experimenting and testing. We weren't prepared to launch anything until it met our own very high standards. Eventually we found our recipe for success, and the results speak for themselves.

Lovely Melts launched in 2019 from Bedfordshire, built slowly and carefully alongside a stable job we had held for a number of years. Early mornings, late nights and lunchtime post office runs became the routine, making products after work and posting orders on lunch breaks. By 2020 the business had grown enough that we faced a decision, stay safe or back ourselves. We took the leap, went self employed and never looked back.

And it wasn't just the products we had to perfect. Building Lovely Melts meant teaching ourselves everything from scratch, websites, accounting, shipping, social media and marketing. Every aspect of running a business was learned on the job, often late at night after a full day of making. It is something we are incredibly proud of.

As well as selling online, our wax melts are also stocked in a small number of local independent retailers, a testament to the quality that keeps both customers and businesses coming back.

Today Lovely Melts is a proudly independent small business and online retailer, handmaking every single wax melt you order. We have over 60 highly scented fragrances across our range, from our bestselling laundry and fresh scents to luxury perfume inspired collections, and over 8,700 verified customer reviews that speak for themselves.
